Discover how Pleasant Password Server will enhance KeePass for business.
Pleasant Passwords now supports all of these client apps in macOS environments:
- Web app
- Auto-filler Browser extension
- MacOS Client app (universal app)
Download Pleasant Mac Client
The Mac Client is a universal app and is available for download from Client Downloads in the web browser client app.
- Same features as the mobile app,
- But many less features than the KeePass for Pleasant desktop app for Windows.
Additional features and changes are ongoing. Please let us know which features you would like to see next as this client continues to evolve!
Auto-filler Browser Extension
Fills website logins directly from Password Server. Available for Chrome and Firefox.
- Your administrator must enable Auto-Fill.
- Safari is not supported yet.
Additional Options
To use the full KeePass for Pleasant Windows desktop app from a Mac, then use one of these approaches:
- Windows VM: run the Windows client inside one of these for feature parity:
- Parallels Desktop,
- VMware Fusion,
- UTM
- RDP to a Windows host:
- Connect to an existing Windows machine with Microsoft Remote Desktop. Often the simplest option where Windows infrastructure is already in place.
- Running KeePass for Pleasant on macOS via Wine or Mono is not supported.
- The Mono instructions on keepass.info apply to stock KeePass, which has different runtime requirements; Mono also no longer receives active development. Use a Windows VM or RDP instead.
Known Limitations
These apply on macOS regardless of which client you choose:
- The KeePass for Pleasant Windows desktop app does not run natively on macOS. Use a Windows VM or RDP instead.
- Currently there is no Safari browser version of the Auto-filler browser extension, instead use Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
- The Auto-Type plugin is legacy. Use the Auto-filler browser extension instead. Existing documentation remains available for current users.
